Step 1: Log in to Your cPanel Account
- Open your web browser and go to: https://qdhosts.com/myacct/login
- Enter your username and password to access your account.
- Click on services and my services from them menu.
- Click on your hosting product (i.e. standard hosting)
- Now on the left side of the screen select "Log in to Cpanel".
Step 2: Navigate to the "Domains" Section
- Once you're logged in, scroll down to the "Domains" section.
- Depending on your cPanel version, you might see options like "Addon Domains," "Subdomains," or "Aliases (Parked Domains)." Choose the appropriate option based on what you want to do:
- Addon Domain: Use this option if you want to add a completely new domain that will have its own separate website.
- Subdomain: Use this option if you want to add a domain that is a subset of your existing domain (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com).
- Aliases (Parked Domain): Use this option if you want the new domain to point to the same site as your primary domain.
Step 3: Add the Domain

Addon Domain:
- Click on "Addon Domains."
- Enter the new domain name in the "New Domain Name" field.
- The "Subdomain" and "Document Root" fields will automatically populate. You can customize these if needed.
- Click "Add Domain."

Subdomain:
- Click on "Subdomains."
- Enter the prefix for the subdomain (e.g., "blog") in the "Subdomain" field.
- Select the domain from the dropdown list if you have multiple domains.
- The "Document Root" field will automatically populate. You can customize this if needed.
- Click "Create."

Aliases (Parked Domain):
- Click on "Aliases."
- Enter the domain name you want to park (e.g., yourdomain.com) in the "Domain" field.
- Click "Add Domain."
Step 4: Update DNS Settings (If Necessary)
- If your domain is registered with a different provider, you'll need to point the domain's DNS to your hosting server.
- Log in to your domain registrar's dashboard and update the nameservers to those provided by your hosting provider.
- It can take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate.
Step 5: Verify the Domain is Working
- After adding the domain, you can verify that it’s working by typing the domain name in your browser.
- If everything is set up correctly, you should see the default page for your new domain or the content of your subdomain/parked domain.
Step 6: Manage the Domain (Optional)
- Once added, you can manage the domain under the "Domains" section in cPanel.
- Here, you can create email accounts, set up redirects, and manage DNS settings for the domain.
By following these steps, you can successfully add and configure a domain in cPanel.
